Case 3

Board of Trade Building, Providence, Rhode Island. Albumen print copy ca. 1870s from original salt print or Daguerreotype, ca. 1845. The clothing store to the left of the Board of Trade building (center) was formerly the colonial tavern of James Sabin. This tavern was the meeting place for the conspiracy to burn the stranded British revenue schooner HMS Gaspee in 1772. The building was torn down by the 1870s.
