Historical information:

Mostly invoices for goods acquired from Philadelphia suppliers by the Thompsons, merchants in Mifflin County [now Juniata County], Pennsylvania. The documents represent a wide variety of suppliers and manufacturers of all kinds of dry goods and include detailed listings of items and prices; many feature company insignia. The collection also contains a few business letters, one of which, from H. Smith in Harrisburg on January 20, 1816, features colorful commentary on the Pennsylvania legislature.
