Biographical information:

Christopher Mason was commissioned a lieutenant in 1762 and captain of the Delaware in 1778. After service in American waters and in the English Channel he was created a rear admiral in 1795 and a vice admiral in 1799.

Letterbook of Christopher Mason, British naval officer.

This letterbook contains copies of his correspondence with the Navy Board and with fellow officers during the periods of Mason's duty on the Halifax station, 1780-1783, and his command of the Zealous in the channel fleet, 1794-1795.
