Scope and Contents:

Collection of surveys, grants, and petitions for land along the lower Mississippi during the Spanish rˇgime. Most of the documents include well-executed maps of the land being granted. Fifty-six of the surveys are certified by Carlos Trudeau, Spanish surveyor general, and 13 by William Dunbar (1749-1810), surveyor general of the district of Natchez.
