Professor Fred Anderson returns to the Clements Library where he researched the struggle for control of North America during the Seven Year’s War, known in the United States as the French and Indian War. Professor Anderson will be speaking beneath Benjamin West’s painting “Death of General Wolfe,” the iconic illustration of the turning point of this war, which hangs in the Great Hall of the Clements. Anderson is Professor of History at the University of Colorado at Boulder. His monumental work “Crucible of War” is considered essential reading on the subject for scholars of all levels.
